12 Days of Giving - Day 2

On the second day of giving, my law firm gave to me,
Kindness to Kidneys.

For our second day of giving, we are happy to be donating to kidney cancer canada.

Kidney Cancer Canada is a national community of patients, caregivers, and health professionals who work to provide every Canadian touched by kidney cancer with support, education, and advocacy for their care pathways and treatment options.

Thanks to the generosity of their corporate sponsors and hundreds of individual donors, they are able to offer the following programs and services free of charge in both of Canada’s official languages.

                                            Peer Support

                                            Information

                                            Education

                                            Advocacy

                                            Research

                                            Advising Government

Kidney Cancer Canada hopes to achieve the following goals with the donations received:

  • Increase Kidney Cancer Canada’s reach to touch every kidney cancer patient beginning at the time of diagnosis

  • Unfettered access to ALL approved treatments for kidney cancer regardless of insurance status or place of residence

  • Increased awareness of treatment options for kidney cancer both with patients and healthcare professionals across Canada

  • Consistent, high-quality standards of care throughout Canada

  • Improved patient quality of life through support and dissemination of information

  • Increased funding for kidney cancer research

  • Develop a structured program to manage and expand the number of volunteers and support staff

EVERY DOLLAR UP TO $80,000 WILL BE MATCHED

“We are excited about the opportunity that exists to increase our services and support to Canadians affected by kidney cancer. Onward!” - Tony Clark, Founder

This charity was chosen by our Real Estate Clerk, Courtney Holland. Recently, her mother was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer. Courtney and her family were looking for information to better understand this disease and become more aware of next steps. She came across Kidney Cancer Canada which also helped her understand what support was available to her and her family during this emotional time. Thank you Courtney and thank you Kidney Cancer Canada!
