Mobility Signing Temporarily Suspended Due To COVID-19

Due to the constantly evolving situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Carson Law has taken steps to adhere to social distancing and other recommendations made by the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Ontario Provincial Government. Therefore, we have suspended our mobility signing service until further notice.

However, as the spread of the corona-virus has forced society to make adjustments to its daily routines and become accustomed to a “new normal”, Carson Law has made alterations to our own regular processes. As a result, we are able to safely work with clients by providing our services remotely with little-to-no interruptions in our normal operations.

REMOTE SIGNING NOW AVAILABLE

Using technology that has been approved by the Law Society of Ontario, we now arrange for video conferencing for all of our meetings that would usually be face-to-face. If clients do not have access to a printer or scanner, we will courier any documents needing signing directly to their doorstep. Once received, our lawyers will review with them via virtual meeting and then witness them sign through the same medium. We will then arrange to have those executed documents picked up and returned to us in a timely manner.

While nothing will replace the intimacy of shaking someone’s hand and communicating with them in person, we have found this to be an adequate alternative during this unprecedented time.

Increased reach and service area

With this required shift in operations and the adoption of these remote strategies, we have actually been able to increase the geographical region that we are able to cater to. Where our mobility signing service was often limited to a 2-hour radius from our headquarters in Burlington, we can now easily work with anyone outside that range. As long as it is within the province of Ontario and we can provide and collect the required documents, we are excited to work with you and build your trust.
